We're Burton on Trent melodic rock band Tara's Secret and signed up members of Emma's fan club! So much so that we wrote a song partly about her and partly about the film Day After Tomorrow. We were recording our first album at a studio in Cannock last June when Emma came on the news, reading the weather. It was mid-summer and she was dressed very summery. After her delivery we all looked at each other and asked, "did anyone actually concentrate on the weather forecast" - no-one had!
The idea for the song was that maybe Emma had been giving out a weather forecast for the storm on Day After Tomorrow, and had we missed it, we could have been caught out and frozen to death. However, with Emma being such a angel, we're sure she would guide us back safely. The resulting "Shepherd's Warning" is a medium to slow, melodic rock epic that builds and builds with some great harmonies, somewhere between Moody Blues, Foreigner and Magnum. Rich also puts in a superb guitar solo.

SHEPHERD'S WARNING (Burning Bright)
Words & Music by Craig Chapman 16-06-04

I don't know which way I'm heading I can't see the light
It shines from behind me, just a shadow through the squall
Snow and ice fall from the heavens, Footsteps disappear,
As quick as I can tread them, Lost forever if I fall.

Andromeda reflections echo through the night,
Gotta keep that light behind me, keep it shining,
Burning bright - oh burning bright

As I woke up yesterday morning, As the sun was coming up
Red sky all around me, I didn't think too much,
I didn't see the forecast, only Emma and her smile,
I was distracted by an angel, as she stood and told her tale

Red sky in the evening shepherds will delight,
But red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning, stay inside -
I didn't stay inside

Now I'm praying for an angel, to guide me through the storm,
I'm praying that the headless horsemen don't pay me a call,
I must keep on believing, I've got the spirit for the fight,
Just keep that light behind me, keep it shining, burning bright -
Oh burning bright

Now I can sense the storm subsiding, see my hand before my face,
I can see the ice is melting, though it's white all o'er the place.
Next time an angel warns me, to shelter from the storm,
She'll wrap her wings around me -
Keep me warm - oh angel keep me warm

Now I'm praying for an angel, to guide me through the storm,
I'm praying that the headless horsemen don't pay me a call,
I must keep on believing, I've got the spirit for this fight,
Just keep that light behind me, keep it shining, burning bright -
Oh burning bright yeah, burning bright - mmm
She'll wrap her wings around me - Oh angel keep me warm
